Osama Al-Hares is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Gulf University for Science and Technology (Kuwait). He is currently serving as Director of Business Development and Corporate Relations. Dr. Al-Hares did his doctoral work in Accounting and Finance at Manchester Business School. Dr. Al-Hares joined the GUST Faculty in 2004. At GUST, he served as Head of the Department of Accounting from 2006 to 2008 and as an Assistant Dean of the College of Business from 2008 to 2009.

Dr. Al-Hares had a confirmed consulting and training experience with superior training centers and corporations in Kuwait such as Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science; Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Institute of Diplomacy); Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development; Kuwait Stock Exchange; Kuwait Finance House; National Bank of Kuwait; Gulf Bank; Boubyan Bank; Kuwait Association for Accountants and Auditors; Zain Telecommunication Group; Kuwait Airways; Kuwait Financial Centre (MARKAZ); and YIACO.
